KUALA LUMPUR – Kelana Jaya LRT line commuters took to social media to vent their frustration over long wait times and slow travel this morning.
Rapid KL said the delay was due to a train having technical problems near the Universiti LRT station heading to Putra Heights, which resulted in commuters alighting the train and walking along the track to the station’s platform.
They were told to exit the train to facilitate its removal. Later, the operator activated an intermediate train service between the Universiti station and the Asia Jaya station.
The operator said the train will be travelling at a slower speed and taking longer stops at the respective stations.
At 10.45am, the problematic train was removed from service and it was said that the regular schedules would resume as soon as possible.
However, many users were unhappy that their commute to work was delayed, with some highlighting that the “technical issues” were becoming more frequent. – The Vibes, September 2, 2022
